Peotry is a genre that is highlighted to be a favourite or avid readers. Being a poet is more than rhyming words but playing with literary devices and enaging the emotions of the reader through word play. You've never experienced the melody of language playing in your head or the rhythm of words dancing in your heart than through poetry or peotic songs. Every word, cascade off one drawing the attention of the audeince, captivateing them in a siren's song until its the prey of the predator.
Poetry is adeventureous avenue that grants new writers to expeirment with words and word play to communicate ones' ideas, desires, faults etc. Poetry allows the writer to express their hearts wishes and inner thoughts without being ridiculed. Through poetry, tnis is made possible.
Scribing the thoughts and images in your head unto the paper to bring concpts and abstract thoughts, one ca only dream of with selected words and mesmerizing visuals. Using figures of speech such as, similes, metaphors, alliteration, personification, hyperbole etc within your piece can bring more life to it!
Speak your truth and let it be known. Poetry rewards your boldness and truth, its your truth. Take the opportunity to discover and honour that voice within you. Poetic style that is suited for you. Find the inner voice and let the words begin to flow.
Poetry serves as a link between people, fostering a common understanding to kinfolk. Words have the ability to ignite ablaze of emotions within people whether to change, to riot, to celebrate or to reflect.
